I can't because...

I just saw a bumper sticker on the way home from the gym that made me laugh out loud.

"Work Harder. People on welfare are depending on you."
bwahhahahaha.
I am sorry if I politically offended you. But it made me laugh out loud.

Okay so I have a soap box today. Something I'm mad at myself about but I feel like I'm not alone. When I think about working out, there always seems to be an excuse WHY NOT.
I am pregnant and need to take it easy.
I am tired.
I don't have time.
I woke up late.
I need the sleep more than I need to get up and workout.
I need to rest.
I am sore.
I don't have anyone to go with.
I don't feel like it.
Well guess what? This morning, I was tired. I didn't feel like it. I didn't have anyone to go with. I woke up late. But I went. And guess what? I felt great afterwards. It made my day so refreshing.  So...I should think of motivating phrases instead of excuses. I really don't like excuses.
I will feel great afterwards.
I will burn calories.
I will honor God with my body by taking care of it.
I will work hard and push myself.
I will  work towards meeting my goals.
I will train for a triathlon (again)

I tend to  like to focus on things. So, other than God and my hubby...let's focus on getting healthy.
DOn't get me wrong, I usually work out every day, but I just walk or jog. And my knee hurts. So I  have to get back to the gym to do some non impact work.

That is all for today. Nothing heavy.
Hubby is coming soon...I am so relieved.
I am embarrassed that RED Cross found my letter, (did you see the comment on previous post?) but I'm glad that it works to put the feelings out there.  It makes me wonder who reads this.  My friend Sarah already has 58 followers. It has taken me a year to get 30. If you read...you should be a follower. So I can feel some confidence that more than 2 people read this blog. Okay. The end.
Happy Monday.

  1. This makes me chuckle. If anyone has no room to critique herself about not having the motivation to work out it is YOU Mrs. I get up at the butt crack of dawn to go to boot camp and am always training for the next big race! The rest of us aspire to have your motivation!

SO glad that everything worked out with the Red Cross! Definitely the Lord's provision in allowing that sweet woman to see your blog!

    Love you!!!
