The (sort of) Finished wall...

This project isn't what I would call "Finished" ...but it is up on the wall :) and it looks way better than it did! I am sort of a project perfectionist. And it's not perfect.

The frames have been distressed...the black and white pictures have NOT been printed...the canvases have been painted, but I'm not sure if I love them. Sweet old AG took an active role in this project. He distressed the frames while I was working and hung them up! Hooray! When he gets on a roll you can't stop him... I can't decide if I even LIKE the "W", much less lOVE it, but it does serve as a cover for the nasty little thermostat...so if nothing else I like it for that reason.

The two words were also an idea from AG. He said, "Why don't we come up with two words that really define who we are and who we want to be". (I said..YES! You are being as cheesy as I am! This is why I married you!  Great Idea!!)  We thought for a couple minutes and then with no argument decided it should be "Reckless Abandon". We tend to be risk takers. People who live on the edge. I like to skydive. Do triathlons. He likes to go fight in wars and jump out of planes and hike 40 miles....But we want to live with reckless abandon in pursuit of our creator. Of Christ. 

He is the only one worth throwing yourself towards. We have been struggling a lot lately with our life path. Will we regret it if we don't go into full time ministry? Will we live a 'mediocre' life? (Because we tend to throw ourselves 'all in' to our jobs...if they're not ministry, will we be doing our faith a disservice?  Will we just wish we would've done more?) Anyway....I'm sure you wanted that long story. The short of it is, we decided on "Reckless Abandon" and I tried to copy one of the cute fonts I downloaded from Kevin and Amanda on the canvases I painted with chalkboard paint. I also painted the "W" with chalkboard paint. I'm sure I will change it or write on the W eventually. BUt for now...it's a cute hallway :)
